PEEKSKILL, N.Y. - Leon F. "Augie" Augustowski , a lifelong resident of Peekskill and former resident of Yonkers, died Nov. 17. He was 75.

Augustowski was born Jan. 6, 1939, to Leon and Ursula (nee Usingrr) Augustowski. He served in the U.S. Army from 1962 to 1964. He worked for 29 years as an inspector at the General Motors plant that was in what was then North Tarrytown (now Sleepy Hollow), retiring in 1993.

Augustowski is survived by his children, Coleen (Brian) O'Kie, Frank and Tony Augustowski; siblings, Tony and Leona Augustowski; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Barbara.

Calling hours are Friday, Nov. 21 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the E.O. Curry Funeral Home, Peekskill. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 22, at the Assumption Church, Peekskill. Interment will be at a later date in the Assumption Cemetery, Cortlandt Manor.
