Bellusci’s parents, Rose and Andrew, ran Andy’s, a popular restaurant in Mount Kisco, for many years.

He graduated from Peekskill Military Academy in Peekskill and went on to play professional baseball for the New York Giants Triple A League.

Bellusci’s baseball career was cut short when he was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1950.

He served for two years in Korea with the 40th Infantry Division. Nine months of his tenure were spent in combat.

Bellusci’s love of sports – especially baseball, football and golf – followed him all of his life.

After he left the Army, he went into the beer industry. He worked with both the F.&M. Schaefer Brewing Co. and the Stroh Brewing Co., retiring as a state manager after a 40-year career.

Bellusci’s services were handled by the Coral Springs Funeral Home.

His funeral Mass was held at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Burial, with military honors, followed at South Florida National Cemetery.
