She retired from MetLife, where she was employed as a secretary. She was a member of Shrub Oak United Methodist Church, where she attended for many years and had a special love for her church friends. She also loved to be with her family and friends, and she enjoyed reading and playing cards.
She is survived by two sons, Richard Alan Drake and Jim Drake (Joanne); a daughter, Julie Adams; and three grandchildren, Alexis and Zachary Drake, and Taylor Adams.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Antoinette Cafarelli; an aunt, Jean Alleva; her husband, John; and her ex-husband, Ralph Leo Drake.
A church service will be conducted Saturday at 6 p.m. at Shrub Oak United Methodist Church, 1176 E. Main St, Shrub Oak.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
