PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- Joan Christine Travis Helveston passed away March 21, 2015 in Leesburg, Fla.
She was born Jan. 8, 1936. She was born and raised in Peekskill. She was the daughter of John and Mae Travis of Roe Park, Peekskill, and the sister of John C. Travis of Hampstead, N.C., and Kathleen M. Travis of Ocala, Fla.
She attended Assumption School and Peekskill High School.
Her father predeceased her, and her mother lives in The Villages, Fla.
She leaves behind four children, Robert West (Terry), of White Pigeon, Mich., Kevin Eckert (Jill), of Milford, Conn., Debra Arnold (Dale), of Constantine, Mich., and Scott West, of Ocala, Fla.; 15 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was interred at St Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in White Pigeon, Mich.
