PEEKSKILL, N.Y. – Jeanette A. "Jeanie" Geraci, 78, of Peekskill, died Saturday, April 11.
She was born on Feb. 27, 1937, in the Bronx, to Anthony and Vera Taranto Cicia. She earned a bachelor's degree from Mercy College. Geraci was the personnel director for Lehman College in the Bronx until she retired in 1999. On Oct. 26, 1957, she married Charles Geraci at Christ the King Church in the Bronx.
She was a volunteer at Hudson Valley Hospital and at St. Christopher's at Graymoor.
She is survived by three children, Lucille (Joe Miranda) Geraci, Charles (Joanne) Geraci, and Mitch (Vickie) Geraci; five grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Geraci, who died July 24, 2011.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 14, from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday, April 15, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, Peekskill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Thursday, April 16, at 10 a.m. at Assumption Church in Peekskill. Interment will follow at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
