PEEKSKILL, N.Y. - Jacqueline A. Salicco, a longtime Peekskill resident, died Dec. 15. She was 80.
Salicco was born Oct. 24, 1934, to James and Jennie (nee Cavallo) Acker. She was a graduate of Peekskill High School Class of '52; she attended Cochran Nursing School at St. John's Riverside Hospital in Yonkers. She was a registered nurse at Peekskill Hospital and Sky View Nursing Home, until retiring.
Salicco is survived by her husband, William J. Salicco; children, Catherine Bischoff, William Salicco Jr., Susan, Marilu and Michelle Salicco; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Elizabeth Robillard, Mary Lou (Mel) Henning and Patricia (Gerald) Cancredi; aunt, Ernestine Slaving; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are Friday, Dec. 19 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the E.O. Curry Funeral Home, Peekskill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 20 at the Church of the Holy Spirit, Cortlandt Manor, followed by interment in the Assumption Cemetery.
