Grace A. Cignarale, 95, Of Peekskill, Telephone Operator, N.Y. Telephone

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. - Grace A. Cignarale, a lifelong resident of Peekskill, died Dec. 20. She was 95.

Cignarale was born Nov. 25, 1919, in Peekskill, to Ralph and Antoinetta DeStefano Santulli. She was a telephone operator for New York Telephone. in Peekskill. She was a parishioner of the Assumption Church, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Catholic War Veterans and the N.Y. Telephone Pioneers.

Cignarale is survived by her children, Rachael Gilbon (Leonard) of N.C., and Paul Cignarale (Stacie) of Peekskill; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Edith Santulli and Mickey Streany. She was predeceased by her husband, Michael; brothers, Nick Santulli (Mary) and Frank Santulli; and sister, Helen (Rocco) Laurenzano.

Calling hours are Monday, Dec. 22 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, Peekskill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 23 at the Assumption Church. Cremation service will be private.
