Glorya Dugan 78, Waitress, Peekskill Native

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. – Glorya Dugan of South Fallsburg, N.Y., died Aug. 24, after a prolonged illness. A Peekskill native, she was 78. 

Dugan was born Dec. 28, 1933, in Peekskill to Pietro and Anna Ardizzone Scivoletto. She graduated from Peekskill High School and was married to Frank C. Dugan for 59 years. He predeceased her on Feb. 2, 2012.  

Described by family as a hard worker, Dugan was employed as a waitress at several Peekskill restaurants and diners. She enjoyed bowling and playing table games with friends. In her retirement, she particularly enjoyed the company of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  

Dugan is survived by a sister, Rose (Michael) Russo; four daughters, Leslie (Anthony) Washington, Beverly Dugan, Melinda Robinson and Francine (Kenneth) Gilleo; seven grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren. 

At Dugan's request, services will be private. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
