PEEKSKILL, N.Y. – Gloria P. Ward, 87, a lifelong resident of Peekskill, died Sunday, May 24.
She was born Sept. 6, 1927, to the late Florence Belford and Fred J. Bianco of Peekskill.
Ward was a longtime supporter of the Peekskill Lapolla Little League.
Survivors include one son, Kevin (JoAnne) Ward of Peekskill; one sister-in-law, Priscilla Bianco; one grandchild; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Her husband, Homer Ward; and one brother, Fred “Jay” Bianco Jr., preceded her in death.
Calling hours will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, 414 Washington St., Peekskill.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at Church of the Assumption, 131 Union Ave., Peekskill.
Burial will follow in the Assumption Cemetery.
