George A. Gaska, 84, Formerly Of Peekskill, Baker At Shoprite Supermarket

GERMANTOWN, N.Y. - George A. Gaska of Germantown, formerly of Peekskill, died Sunday, Dec. 14. He was 84.

Gaska was born Aug. 13, 1930, in Peekskill, to Thomas and Adelaide Gaska. He worked for many years as a baker at Shoprite Supermarket in Peekskill. He was a Mardi Gras clown from the 1960's to 1990's.

Gaska is survived by his brother, Harold. He was predeceased by his parents; sister, Helen; brothers, Walter and Wilbur; and stepmother, Emily (Zembrowski) Gaska.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17 at Dorsey-Carlone Funeral Home, 1100 Cortlandt St., Peekskill, followed by interment in Assumption Cemetery, Cortlandt Manor. Calling hours are prior to the service from 9:30  to 11:30 a.m.
