PEEKSKILL, N.Y. – Francis B. Fassnacht, a resident of Peekskill, died on Sunday, Aug. 30. He was 85.
Fassnacht was born in Peekskill on Feb. 9, 1930 to Bernard and Marie Fassnacht.
He graduated from Assumption School, Peekskill High School and Union College.
Fassnacht worked as an electrical engineer for the Surface Warfare Center in Silver Spring, Md., and as an adjunct professor at the Naval Post Graduate School in Monterey, Calif.
Fassnacht is survived by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Hilda and William Durr of Buchanan, and Marie and William Croft of Tega Cay, S.C.
Visiting hours will be at Dorsey-Carlone Funeral Home in Peekskill on Wednesday, Sept. 2, at 10 a.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:15 a.m. at Assumption Church in Peekskill.
Interment will be in Assumption Cemetery.
