Elizabeth Cunningham, 85, Worked At St. Joseph's In Peekskill

CORTLANDT MANOR, N.Y. -- Elizabeth Ann Cunningham, 85, a longtime Cortlandt Manor resident, died Tuesday, Feb. 17.

Elizabeth was born in Queens on Feb. 24, 1929 to George and Helen (nee Wilson) McGreevy. She married George Cunningham Jr., in 1951. He preceded her in death on May 29, 2013 after 62 years of marriage.

Elizabeth worked as a cook at St. Joseph's Retirement Home in Peekskill for eight years. She loved making latch hook rugs.

She is survived by her son, Michael B. (Jill) Cunningham; daughter, Laurie (Dane) Booth; grandchildren, Jennifer Cunningham, Daniel and Emily Booth; and great-grandchild, Jacob Kinsell. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her son and daughter-in-law, George and Lynda Cunningham III, and sisters, Patricia Maglione and Helen McGreevy.

The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 23 at the E.O. Curry Funeral Home, 313 N. James St. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 24,  followed by interment at Hillside Cemetery, Cortlandt Manor. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
