PEEKSKILL, N.Y. – Elizabeth Chase, 93, a longtime Peekskill resident, died on Dec. 27.
Born on Dec. 25, 1921, Chase is the daughter of the late John and Amy (nee Reynolds) DuBois.
On Oct. 11, 1939 at the St. Paul's Methodist Church in Peekskill, she married Norman W. Chase, who predeceased her on June 22, 1984. She enjoyed playing classical music and gave private piano lessons.
Chase is survived by her son and two daughters, Norman W. (Karen) Chase, Jr.; Nancy (Gene) Merrow; and Lorraine Chase; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother, John DuBois.
The family will receive friends on Friday, Jan. 2, 2015 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the E.O. Curry Funeral Home in Peekskill, where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 3, followed by interment in the Hillside Cemetery in Cortlandt Manor.
