POUGHQUAG, N.Y. - Dominick A. Delia, Sr. of Poughquag and formerly of Peekskill, died Oct. 13. He was 89.
Delia was born 1925 and graduated from Peekskill High School in 1943. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps at Iwo Jima during World War II. He was employed by Local 137, was a former parishioner of Church of the Assumption and participant in Peekskill Fire Patrol, Peekskill High School Parents' Club and Lapolla Little League.
Delia is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Haight); sons, Dominick Delia, Jr., Michael (Linda) Delia, Joseph (Amy) Delia, Ralph (Kathy) Delia; daughters, Joy (Vincent) Colucci, Elizabeth Dingee; brother, Joseph Delia; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Calling hours are Wednesday, Oct. 15 from 3 to 7 p.m. at McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 16 at St. Denis Church.
