Carmelia E. Bolin, 88, Of Peekskill, Worked For Rite-Aid

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. - Carmelia E. "Melly" Bolin of Peekskill died Dec. 14. She was 88.

Bolin was born Jan. 19, 1925, in Port Chester, to Giacomo and Paulina (Capuano) Capuano. As a young girl, she returned to Italy with her family where she was educated in Naples. She returned to the U.S. in her 20s. She had worked at Rite-Aid in Peekskill until three years ago.

Bolin is survived by her children, Michael P. (Ellen) Bolin of New York City, Stephen J. (Jeanette) Bolin of Walton, Ky., and Theresa (Sim Segal) Bolin of New York City; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and sister, Bianca Capuano of Hurley. She was predeceased by her brother, John Bolin; a brother; and a sister.

Calling hours are Tuesday, Dec. 17 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, Peekskill. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18 at the Assumption Church, Peekskill. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
