Barbara Minnerly, 76, Longtime Peekskill Resident

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. – Barbara C. Minnerly, a longtime Peekskill resident, died Monday, Oct. 22. She was 76. 

Born Oct. 25, 1935, Minnerly was the daughter of Joseph and Barbara Jamison Conklin. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Peekskill and an avid bowler. Minnerly also volunteered for several organizations and loved playing bingo. 

She was married to Leroy Minnerly, who predeceased her. Minnerly's family said that she also loved to talk about her claim to fame, playing the accordion on the "Ed Sullivan Show."

Minnerly is survived by a son, Joseph Minnerly; two daughters, Linda DelCastello and Barbara Womble; three sisters, six grandchildren, a great-grandson and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at E.O. Curry Funeral Home in Peekskill, with a funeral service at 8 p.m.

Plus the one that was birthed by Tara the only one noted I might add. It is absolutely not acceptable for the individual who wrote this to not include these children who have done nothing wrong.
