Ann F. Jones, 99, Former Resident Of Peekskill, Secretary

GARRISON, N.Y. - Ann F. Jones of Garrison, formerly of Peekskill, died Friday, Dec. 5. She was 99.

Jones was born Nov. 6, 1915, in New York City, to Michael and Tessie (Wosciechowski) Pomart. At age eight she moved to St. Joseph's Home, Peekskill, attended Peekskill schools and The Assissium Business School, New York City. She worked as a secretary for St. Joseph's Home, Peekskill Housing Authority, Judge Peter Choulas, Villa Loretta, St Germain's School and the Community Current newspaper. She was a parishioner of the Assumption Church, Peekskill and Our Lady of Loretto Church, Cold Spring.

Jones is survived by her daughters, Carol Anne (Blair) Hartley of Garrison and Patricia Ann (William) Harbolic of Wappingers Falls; son-in-law, Thomas McGowan of New Milford, Conn.; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Adele Sicurella of Staten Island; brother, Edward Pomart of Fla.; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband,  Carl Joseph Jones; daughter, Kathleen Pierce McGowan; sisters, Ellen King Stahl, Catherine Wisniewski, Helen Iuculano, Mary Gilbert; brother, John Pomart; and granddaughter, Catherine Marie Hartley.

Calling hours are Tuesday, Dec. 9 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Dorsey-Carlone Funeral Home, 1100 Cortlandt St., Peekskill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10 at Assumption Church, Peekskill, followed by interment at Assumption Cemetery, Cortlandt Manor.
