Brown worked for many years for the County of Westchester Child Services as a foster-parent. Prior to that, she worked in retail at Alexander’s in Mount Vernon and also Gimble’s in New York City.
Brown is survived by her children, Michael Cook, Robert Cole, Marlo Lotts, Susan Cook, Lisa Maupin; and seven grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Stewart Brown; and foster-son, Thomas Cook.
Calling hours are Friday, May 24 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the E.O. Curry Funeral Home, where a funeral service will be offered at 11:30 a.m., followed by interment in the Hillside Cemetery, Cortlandt Manor.
