Albin Sabol, 91, Of Peekskill, World War II Veteran

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. – Albin Sabol, 91, of Peekskill, died Tuesday, March 3, at the New York State Veterans Home at Montrose.

He was born on March 3, 1924, in Bayonne, N.J.

Sabol was a World War II veteran, who served the U.S. Navy on a submarine.

He was a member and past president of the Hudson Valley Base United States Submarine Veterans, New Paltz.

Sabol also worked for the New York Telephone Co. for more than 40 years, retiring in 1985.

Survivors include two daughters, Karen Segelken and Nadine Keeney; six brothers; one sister; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

His wife, Connie, is deceased.

Calling hours will be 2-4 p.m. Saturday, March 7, at the Edward F. Carter Funeral Home, 170 Kings Ferry Road, Montrose.

Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
