Albert DeCrenza, 76, Of Peekskill

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- Albert DeCrenza, a resident of Peekskill, died Monday, Feb. 1. He was 76.

He was born on Feb. 15, 1939 in Ossining,, to Alfonzo and Irene DeCrenza.

DeCrenza was a truck driver for Teamsters Local 456 in Elmsford, NY. He served in the U.S. Army from 1956-1959 and also served in the Army National Guard. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 462, past President of the Sons of Italy in Ossining and was also a volunteer at Hudson Valley Hospital.

He is survived by his wife Cathleen DeCrenza, and his brothers; Salvatore Caiazza of Cortlandt Manor, Gary DeCrenza, Michael DeCrenza and Robert Longwell. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a son, Albert Peter DeCrenza, Jr. and brothers; James Caputo and James Caiazza.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, 10 a.m. at the Assumption Church. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
