PEEKSKILL,  N.Y. — Plenty of educational and entertaining events are going on around Peekskill this week.

Monday, June 4

Peekskill Committee of the Whole meeting : 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Paul Schwerman Conference Room and is open to the public. Peekskill City Hall is located at 840 Main St.

Peekskill High School Spring Sports Awards Dinner : 7 p.m. The event will take place at the high school cafeteria. Peekskill High School, 1072 Elm St.

Tuesday, June 5

Tuesday Tales at Field Library : 11 a.m. to noon. Stories for children ages 3 to 5. The Field Library is located at 4 Nelson Ave.

Health Workshop at Field Library : 6 to 7:30 p.m. Learn how to achieve a healthy life, how to keep yourself and your family healthy, questions to ask your doctor and myths and truths about diabetes, Lyme disease and more. Field Library is located at 4 Nelson Ave.

Peekskill City School District Board of Education Work Session : 7:30 p.m. The public session will start after an executive session. The administrative center is located at 1031 Elm St.

Wednesday, June 6

Book Babies at Field Library : 11 a.m. to noon. Stories for children up to age 3. The Field Library is located at 4 Nelson Ave.

Thursday, June 7

Tales for Tails at Field Library : 6 p.m. Children in first grade and up are invited with a parent to read to a special dog. All volunteer dogs are certified through The Good Dog Foundation. Sign-up is required. Field Library is located at 4 Nelson Ave.

9th Annual Young Artists Exhibition : 6 to 7:30 p.m. The event will be held at Woodside Elementary School. Refreshments will be served. 702 Depew St.

Peekskill High School Awards Program : 8 a.m. The event will be held for grades 9 to 11 at the auditorium. The high school is located at 1072 Elm St.

Friday, June 8

"Steve Jobs: The Lost Interview" at The Paramount : 7:30 p.m. The film was shot in 1995, 10 years after Jobs had left Apple. At the time of the interview, Jobs was running Next, the niche computer company he had founded after leaving Apple and would later sell to his old company, enabling Jobs return to his Apple roots. Admission is $9 for the general public. The Paramount Center for the Arts is located at 1008 Brown St. in Peekskill.
