Updated July 4 Weekend Forecast In Peekskill Brightens

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Westchester residents should no longer expect to see rain and storms on July 4, but clouds and a potentially sunny day, according to the National Weather Service.

Instead of gloomy weather, Westchester residents can expect a sunny July 4 weekend.

The weather will be mostly sunny on Friday, with a high near 78. The evening will be partly cloudy with a low around 60.

Independence Day on Saturday will remain cloudy, then gradually become sunny with highs around 77. Cloudy skies will return on Saturday evening with a low around 64.

Sunday will be mostly sunny with highs near 82.
