Woman Who 'Became Confused' Slams Van Into Fishkill Bank

DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- An elderly woman who became confused slammed into the front of the Riverside Bank Wednesday in the Village of Fishkill, injuring one bank employee, according to the New York State Police.

The incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. at 1004 Main St. when the woman lost control of her van and drove into the building, said Trooper C. D'Angelo.

The woman was taken to MidHudson Regional Hospital with unknown injuries, D'Angelo said.

The employee was also transported with minor injuries.

D'Angelo said all of the bank's money was accounted for, and the building was secured. Damage to the foundation of the building was minor, he added.
