When thousands turned out to see Peekskill's annual Fourth of July fireworks this summer, no one could have predicted that Mother Nature would provide fireworks of her own.
The fireworks display at Riverfront Green Park took place just before a severe thunderstorm blew through the city. The lightning on the horizon provided a stunning backdrop for the fireworks display.
The video posted by The Daily Voice on Youtube became a viral sensation online and was viewed nearly 1,500 times.
