PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- Here are some of the stories that topped the news in Peekskill this week:
- Democratic incumbent Marybeth McGowan and Republican Vincent Vesce , who are tied with 1,967 votes in third place for the Peekskill Common Council still don't know if they will be on Peekskill's Common Council next year.
- Peekskill Police arrested a local man on charges of stemming from a long-term narcotics investigation conducted jointly between the City of Peekskill Police Narcotics Unit and the Westchester County Police Department Narcotics Unit recently.
- Peekskill Police have arrested Robert Patterson who was accused of knocking a man off of his bike the corner of North Division Street and Pemart Avenue and threatened to cut the man's throat if he didn't surrender the bike.
- A 43-year-old man was hit by a Metro-North train and killed just south of the Hartsdale train station in an apparent suicide, according to Metro-North Railroad spokeswoman Marjorie Anders.
