PEEKSKILL, NY A city man was arrested Thursday for allegedly stealing from a Peekskill supermarket that employed him.
Cordell Rhoden, 23, of Cortlandt Manor was arrested and charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor, at 3:15 p.m. on Sept. 29 on the 1800 block of Main Street by Police Officer Chris Vazeos.
Rhoden, who was employed as a cashier at the Stop and Shop Supermarket, was charged after an investigation into the theft of a $500 gift card from the store. He was held for arraignment in city court.

On Sept. 29 at 8:50 p.m., Lashawn Tinsley was arrested and charged with second-degree harassment, a violation, and resisting arrest, a misdemeanor, on the 1300 block of Park Street by Police Officer Matt Basso.
Tinsley was charged following a domestic dispute in which she struck a family member. She was additionally charged with resisting arrest after struggling with officers who attempted to take her into custody. She was held for arraignment in city court.
Also arrested on that day was Maria Bergamin, 51, of Cortlandt Manor, who was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, on the 1400 block of Main Street by Police Officer John Marchioni.
Bergamin was charged following a motor vehicle accident in which she struck several parked vehicles on Main Street.
She was taken into custody after failing several field sobriety tests and charged with DWI after her blood alcohol concentration was determined to be .11 percent. Bergamin was released on her own recognizance and is due in city court on Oct. 17.
