Peekskill's Children's Theatre Company Marks 9th Season

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. — The Children’s Theatre Company of Peekskill announced plans to mount a pair of productions over the next two weekends while celebrating its ninth season.

The CTC will perform “The Ugly Duckling” and “Stone Soup” at the Ford Theatre in Peekskill on Jan. 31, Feb. 1, 7 and 8. All performances are scheduled for 3 p.m., except for the Feb. 1 performance, which is set for 1 p.m.

“The Ugly Duckling” is based on Hans Christian Andersen's story, with music and lyrics by Frank Sanchez and Mehr Mansuri.

Mansuri adapted “Stone Soup” with Jill Bolstridge and composed the music and lyrics with Sanchez and Lory Lazarus.

The CTC is based in New York City, with branches in Boston; Fairfield, Conn.; Vienna, Va.; Gaithersburg, Md.; Los Angeles; London; and Cape Town.

The Ford Theatre is at the Peekskill Admin Building, 1031 Elm St.

Tickets are $10 per person, available online at www.ctcpeekskill.org or on-site at the Ford Theatre.
