Peekskill Opens Cooling Center

The city of Peekskill has opened a cooling center at the Peekskill Neighborhood Center due to the high temperatures expected for today and tomorrow, which are expected to rise to 95 degrees according to the National Weather Service in New York City.A air quality alert has also been issued until 10 p.m. Wednesday night and there is a chance for severe thinderstorms in the evening hours. The center is at 4 Nelson Avenue in Peekskill.
