PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- The Peekskill Common Council is considering approving a revaluation of city properties for the first time in 61 years, according to theexaminernews.com.

If approved, Peekskill would join other Westchester municipalities including Greenburgh, Ossining, and Yonkers in approving revaluation measures. City Assessor Michele Jordan said the outdated valuations have cost Peekskill over $3 million and the city schools approximately $6 million, theexaminernews.com said.
