Peekskill Closes City Offices At 4 p.m.

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. – City offices were set to close at 4 p.m. Friday due to hazardous conditions, Acting Peekskill City Manager Brian Havranek said.

This included City Hall, Parks and Recreation and the Youth Bureau. Full road crews, working in 16-hour shifts, are addressing the city's 110 lane miles of streets and sidewalks.

The city is urging residents and businesses to report power outages to Con Edison (1-800-75-CONED) or to the Police Department's non-emergency line, 914-737-8000.

Residents are being reminded not to touch downed wires and to call 911 for emergencies only.
