Peekskill Breaks Ground On New Firehouse

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- Ground was broken Wednesday on a $12 million firehouse that will replace six stations across Peekskill, according to News 12.

The new firehouse at Main and Broad streets is expected to be completed in 2018, according to News 12, which reported that the new structure will allow the city to avoid making costly repairs to the six other stations.

The new firehouse will provide the department with 30,000-square-feet of space and will feature sleeping quarters for 12 and a large meeting space, according to News 12.
