PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- City officials in Peekskill want the MTA to clean up the mess at the local Metro-North stop, according to The Journal News.
Mayor Frank Catalina blamed used rails and construction items left at the station for giving the area the look of a junk yard.
"We know that the MTA is a good neighbor…it’s just that you are not acting like one," Catalina said according to The Journal News. "We told they were moving an abandoned line and doing work there. But that was 10 months ago."
“We’ll respond to the mayor directly before we discuss his letter publicly,” MTA spokeswoman Meredith Daniels said, adding the agency plans to reach out to Catalina, according to The Journal News.
