PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- The New York Times recently cited Peekskill as a city that mixes a reasonable amount of city and country living.
Peeskill also was noted in the article as a diverse, largely blue-collar city with a population of 37 percent Hispanic. The city's restaurants, pubs and coffeehouses that have opened in the past few years have added a charm, and many activities to do, the article said.
The Times article also mentioned Peekskill's farmers market, which is expecting to open its outdoor season in May this year.
