PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. -- State police said a man was killed in Garrison in a motorcycle crash Wednesday night, according to reports.

The accident occurred around 10 p.m. when the man crashed his motorcycle on Route 9 near Old Highland Turnpike. The roadway was closed for about four hours while police investigated, lohud.com said.

The driver's name has not been released.
