Montrose Fundraiser Lifts Derailment Widow's Spirits

MONTROSE, N.Y. -- A fundraiser thrown by the local Lions Club in Montrose helped raise more than $5,000 to support the family of James Ferrari, a victim of the Metro-North train derailment, and and another local victim who was injured in the wreck, according to LoHud.com.

The fundraiser didn't just raise money, however, it also helped buoy the spirits of Ferrari's widow, Francine Ferrari, who was reminded of how well-liked her husband was, LoHud.com reported.
