PEEKSKILL, N.Y. – Margaret N. Hintze, a longtime Peekskill and Cortlandt resident, died Feb. 11. She was 88.
Born Aug. 24, 1924, Hintze worked as a telephone operator for the New York Telephone Co. in Peekskill for 17 years. She was married to John Hintze, who predeceased her.
Hintze is survived by a son, John (Jeannine) Hintze; two sisters, Ada Doane and Barbara Morris; two brothers-in-law, Donald (Dolores) Hintze and Rocky (Joanne) Hintze; and three grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sisters.
Visitation is from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at E.O. Curry Funeral Home in Peekskill. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Stephany Graham officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Cortlandt Manor.
