Lakeland Future Business Leaders Compete At State Conference

YORKTOWN, N.Y. --Lakeland High School’s students of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) competed in April at the State Leadership Conference in Rochester, N.Y.

The annual event drew over 700 FBLA members. They competed in events, campaigned for state positions, attended workshops and networked.

The areas of competition included business law, hospitality management, emerging business issues, and team project in community service.

The FBLA members campaigned for such state positions as president, executive vice president, vice president of one of 15 districts throughout the state, secretary, treasurer, reporter, and historian. 

Among networking opportunities, there was a "Great Gatsby" themed dance, among events.
