HYDE PARK, N.Y. - The Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum has been throwing a presidential bash the last few days in celebration of its 75th anniversary, which fell on Thursday.

The Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum has been throwing a presidential bash the last few days , in celebration of its 75th anniversary, which fell on Thursday.

The popular destination had special events planned through Saturday.

Located near Roosevelt's home in Hyde Park, the library was built under his personal direction in 1939-1940. It is one of 13 presidential libraries under the auspices of the National Archives and Records Administration.

Here is a sampling of some of the FDR 75th birthday events on Saturday.

10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Family Fun Festival! Join us on the Library’s Great Lawn for a day of free activities, including performances by the Bindlestiff Family Cirkus, live swing music (bring your dancing shoes!), food trucks, a dunk tank, face painting, raptor shows and more!

10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Day of Infamy: 24 Hours that Changed History special exhibition on view in the Library and Museum

4 p.m. Theatrical Performance: In Their Own Words: The Roosevelts

7 p.m. Theatrical Performance: In Their Own Words: The Roosevelts.
