Guardian Academy In Peekskill To Hold Info Session

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- The Guardian Academy Charter School of Peekskill will host an information session on Tuesday, March 4 at 7 p.m. at the Elks Club, located at 1038 Brown Street in Peekskill.

The Guardian Academy Charter School is being proposed by a group of founders who will file an application with the New York State Education Department Board of Regents, one of two charter authorizers in the state.

The school is proposing an August 2015 opening with Kindergarten and first grade adding a grade each year until eighth grade.

The Guardian Academy Charter School will feature a co-teaching model together with a strong character education program integrated throughout the curriculum as well as a longer school day and year.

All are welcome, especially parents who are interested in finding out more about this unique educational model.
