GOP Endorses Tom Diana In Yorktown Town Board Race

YORKTOWN, N.Y. – Republican leaders have endorsed Tom Diana in the upcoming election for one of the vacant seats on the Yorktown Town Board, The Examiner reports.

Diana, who unsuccessfully ran as a Democrat last year against Dave Paganelli for highway superintendent, hopes to fill the last 14 months of Paganelli’s unexpired four-year term. according to The Examiner.

Diana is a third-generation Yorktown resident who once served as a local police officer. Today, he owns a home-heating oil business, The Examiner reported.

He said he decided to join the GOP because his beliefs are more in line with the Republicans, but he hopes to gain bi-partisan support, according to The Examiner.
