Former Peekskill Girls Basketball Coach Let Go By College

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- A former Peekskill High School girls basketball coach who allegedly had sex with a teenage student has been released from his role as an assistant coach with the City College Of New York women’s basketball team, according to LoHud.com.

Rodney Headley, 29, resigned at the end of the school year after a 17-year-old student alleged they engaged in a sex act. Headley led Peekskill to the New York state title in 2011.

Headley was hired by CCNY in August. No details were released about his separation from the college, according to LoHud.
