- The yearlong pursuit of a suspect accused of selling cocaine to an undercover agent in Peekskill ended this week with the news of an arrest, police said. Peekskill Detectives Anthony Malfitano and Joseph McGann arrested 21-year-old Jesse Dabbs, Jr. at a home on Main Street in Peekskill around 6 p.m., July 23. The detectives took Dabbs into custody without incident, police said.
- The Westchester County Working Families Party leaders endorsed four incumbent candidates running for elected positions in Peekskill . Mayor Mary Foster and Council Members Drew Claxton, Marybeth McGowan and Andrew Torres all received endorsements.
- The Tony Award-winning "Menopause The Musical" is coming to The Paramount Hudson Valley in Peekskill for two special performances in August . "Menopause The Musical" is a "groundbreaking celebration of women who are on the brink of, in the middle of, or have survived 'The Change,'" according to a release from GFour Productions, the company bringing the musical to the stage. The two shows at the Paramount are set for 3 p.m. Aug. 10 and 2 p.m. Aug. 11.
