Community Preservation Corporation opened its Hudson Valley office at 2 Church St. The organization has more than 40 years of experience creating affordable housing and revitalizing downtowns to stimulate economic development and investment in Westchester.

“CPC is dedicated to investing in downtown districts across New York State, and what better way to do so than to set up our Hudson Valley office in the heart of downtown Ossining,” Rafael Cestero, president and CEO of CPC said. “The Hudson Valley office will continue to invest in our neighborhoods to create stronger, economically viable communities and to make Ossining and the greater Hudson Valley region a better place to live and work."

Mayor William Hanauer, who was on-hand for the grand opening ceremony said this continues the renaissance going on in the Village of Ossining.

"There is no more appropriate venue than the village's core for the base of operations for CPC," Hanauer said. "The Village of Ossining, where housing for all levels of affordability is both our goal for the future and our reality of the present, enthusiastically welcomes CPC. We look forward to a new, mutually beneficial relationship. Downtown revitalization is music to my ears. This is a great thing for the village, we need more development."

Assemblywoman Sandy Gaelf praised CPC for stablizing neighborhoods, strengthening communities and making the Hudson Valley a better place to live. Galef's office is also at 2 Church St.

"You couldn’t have chosen a better location for your expanded reach than Ossining with its long tradition of support for affordable housing," Galef said.

Gayle Marchica, president of the Greater Ossining Chamber of Commerce said she was excited to have more business in Ossining.

"Someone stopped me and said this town looks like a movie set," Marchica said. "I believe if you build it, they will come."

CPC first opened its Hudson Valley Office in 1989. Since then, CPC has financed the development or preservation of nearly 18,000 units of housing through $978.8 million in investment in the Hudson Valley.  CPC has financed 15 projects in Ossining.
