Polhill has served on the Peekskill St. Patrick’s Committee for more than 20 years and co-hosted coverage of the parade for its cable television channel the past several years. The former U.S. Postal Service worker has held several positions at Peekskill City Hall. She is a vocalist, performer and writer and serves as board president for the Paramount Center for the Arts.
Gallagher, a 40-year Ossining resident, has been involved in several organizations since retiring in 1989. He has worked with inmates through Residents Encourter Christ and Hudson Link, volunteered with the Ossining Rotary, Habitat for Humanity, Knights of Columbus and Friendly Sons of St. Patrick. He has also volunteered with his daughter’s not-for-profit Kids in Namibia Deserve Love and Education (KINDLE), which works with AIDS orphans.
