City Says Peekskill Water Safe To Drink

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- An algae bloom was the cause for a change in odor and taste to Peekskill's drinking water, according to Water Superintendent David Rambo.

Despite the odor and taste, Rambo said the water is completely safe to consume while it is being treated for algae. The algae bloom was caused by recent heavy rain, Rambo said.
