PEEKSKILL, N.Y. – Some lucky city children will head back to school prepared thanks to Noo Moves Entertainment.
On Friday the group held a fish fry at the Kiley Youth Center to raise money for its annual book bag drive. The money went toward book bags that were given out Tuesday at the Kiley Center as part of a back-to-school celebration that included music and refreshments for city youngsters.
"We have 55 book bags," said Noo Moves' Andre "Noodle" Rainey. "We filled them up with school supplies last night."
Rainey was quick to thank the sponsors that helped make this year's event possible: Shoprite, Dunkin' Donuts, Hudson City Savings Bank, Stop & Shop, BeanRunner Cafe, Granite Check Cashing, Arthur Weeks & Son, McDonald's and All Ages Entertainment LLC.
