PEEKSKILL, N.Y. - The 28th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Interfaith Worship Service will once again be held at Peekskill Middle School on Monday.
The event takes place in the school auditorium starting at 3 p.m. and is being sponsored by the Peekskill Area Pastors Association (P.A.P.A.) and Mount Olivet Baptist Church.
The event will feature words of praise and remembrance for the slain civil rights leader by area religious leaders such as P.A.P.A. President Bishop Michael Champion of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church and Mount Olivet's Rev. Adolphus Lacey. There will also be speeches from city and state elected officials and performances from area youth and church groups.
Admission is free for all wishing to attend.
