Kathleen F. Marks Foundation To Match January Donations

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- Each day, about 1,500 people in America will die from cancer, but in the month of January The Kathleen F Marks Memorial Foundation will be collecting donations to fight it.

The Kathleen F Marks Memorial Foundation is a nonprofit public charity named after the late Peekskill resident that raises money for cancer research, as well as for patients in financial need due to the cost of treatments.

Every dollar raised in January, up to $2,013, will be matched by Ryan Schadel, president and CEO of Labor Smart Inc.To donate, visit its fundraising website.

“I would like to invite other executives and leaders across the country to partake in this opportunity to support a high integrity non-profit like KFM,” Schadel said “Every dime donated to this fine organization is spent in a responsible manner that puts cancer on the defensive.”

Schadel has issued a challenge to other CEOs and executives to personally match with $2,013 out of their personal accounts or start a fundraising campaign for the Kathleen F Marks Memorial Foundation at FirstGiving.com for those who would like to raise more.

Donations will be taken up until midnight Jan. 31.
