PEEKSKILL, N.Y. – Karen Portanier, of Peekskill, died April 29. She was 56.
Portanier was born in New York City to Roy and Marion Maldonado in 1956. She worked for American Express Travel as a senior specialist for 32 years. Portanier is remembered by her family for her infectious smile and self-determination.
She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Martin Portanier, her father Roy, a sister, Sandra Robinson and many cousins and nieces.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Yorktown United Methodist Church in Yorktown Heights. Yorktown Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
