Cortlandt Mom Appears In Substance Abuse PSA

CORTLANDT MANOR, N.Y. – A Cortlandt mother who lost her daughter to substance abuse is featured in a public service announcement produced by the Council on Addiction, Prevention, & Education of Dutchess County.

Deborah Carlin Polhill of Cortlandt Manor, is one of the grieving relatives who appears in the PSA.

Polhill’s 28-year-old daughter, Cait Chivonne Polhill, died of  substance abuse in 2011.

The experience inspired her to write the book “Love—Honor—Celebrate: A Mother’s Journey of Transition,” which was published in print and electronic versions in 2013.
